THE BRIEF 

Create an engaging campaign to promote the astounding benefits golf brings to people’s lives.

To take a dated perception of the sport, shake it and open it up to everyone and get all types of people participating in programs.

 

THE INSIGHT

People think golf is for cashed up old men who hit balls all day whilst wearing V-neck jumpers.

That it’s a sport reserved for the elite and offers little to people who don’t belong in that group.

But here’s the truth - golf provides an overwhelming list of mental, physical and social benefits to people from all walks of life.

THE IDEA

We discovered something that we had to shout from the rooftops, and it’s this - Golf is the antidote to (nearly) all your problems.

Golf gets you out in the open air, amongst nature, it can be a digital detox, an outlet, a moment to connect with friends or a moment to reflect and meditate. It challenges you. It teaches you something. And most importantly, it doesn’t care whether you’re 15 or 55, whether you’re slow or fast, whether you have matching beige knits or not sure what a Bogey is. 

 

 

We broke down the preconceived barriers around golf and represented it in a way that makes people see golf in a more relatable light.

We produced a series of videos that captured all the amazing benefits, whilst showcasing the inclusive, fun and immediate rewards of golf. Extending beyond just the benefits, we leaned into some of life's challenges and featured relatable real life problems and how golf can be the solution.

The tone of voice and language had to drive home the authenticity that was embedded in the campaign. It had to connect raw human needs with emotion and real insight. But it also had to be clever adapting to topical issues, scenarios and trends whilst maintaining a respectful level of sass, wit and authority.

To further shake up people’s perception of the sport and to attract a wider, more diverse audience, we revived the brandmark and colour palette by applying a more vibrant and modern approach, using colours with more relevance and impact.
